Pros: My direct engineering manager was really supportive and knew the technical details. There's a decent focus on developing new software features, which is cool for a Software Engineer. The WFH flexibility is also a huge plus, working remote from Austin is great.
Cons: Upper leadership can feel pretty disconnected from the daily engineering challenges. It's often hard to understand the strategy behind big product decisions, and communication isn't always clear. We often get last-minute changes that impact our sprint goals.
Advice to Management: Try to be more transparent with the engineering teams about high-level decisions. Also, get feedback from ICs before making major shifts in product direction.
