Pros: I really value the work flexibility offered here at Drifter. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, I've found management very understanding when personal matters come up, allowing for reasonable schedule adjustments, which is a huge plus in the hospitality industry. The team environment is genuinely supportive too; everyone pitches in, ensuring our boutique hotel always looks its best. It's great to work somewhere that respects your time outside of work and still maintains high standards for guest
Cons: Sometimes during really peak seasons, like major events in Melbourne, the workload can get pretty intense for the housekeeping team. While everyone works hard, better communication about anticipated busy periods and perhaps a clearer system for temporary support could help prevent burnout. Also, the approval process for new equipment can sometimes take a little longer than ideal, which can affect efficiency when we're trying to quickly adapt.
Advice to Management: Continue to foster the strong sense of teamwork and maintain the excellent work flexibility that makes Drifter a great place to work. Perhaps explore ways to streamline procurement for necessary supplies and consider better forecasting for staffing during high-demand periods to support the Housekeeping Supervisors and their teams more effectively, especially within our boutique hotel setting.
