Okay startup culture, some growing pains
Pros: I really liked my direct team. Everyone was super supportive, especially getting started as a Software Engineer. The remote work option is great for flexibility. They're making solid barber shop software.
Cons: The overall startup environment can feel pretty messy. Communication between teams isn't always good, which gets frustrating. There's often pressure to work more than typical hours.
Advice to Management: Work on making internal communication clearer. Also, be more realistic about work hours to avoid burnout. That would help the culture a lot.

Decent flexibility if you're a self-starter.
Pros: As a Software Engineer working remotely, I appreciate the flexibility. I can usually set my own hours. It's great for managing personal appointments, and the WFH policy is a big plus for work-life balance at this tech company.
Cons: Sometimes, team meetings are scheduled across time zones, which can mess with the 'flexible hours' vibe a bit. There's pressure to be always available, even with flexible work, especially when dealing with critical issues for our scheduling software.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize meeting times or create clear 'core hours' that respect different time zones. Also, clarify expectations around 'always-on' culture.
