We are looking for a self-motivated, highly energized Assistant / Regional Data Privacy Counsel to be part of our family to facilitate and oversee data privacy and data protection contracts & processes, so as to ensure that we stay compliant with regional privacy laws. 

Get to know the Role:

As an Assistant / Regional Data Privacy Counsel, you would be given a broad range of responsibilities providing legal guidance on global initiatives impacting privacy, data protection and security. You will partner cross-functionally with our Grabbers in InfoSec, procurement, engineering, product and other teams to advise on data uses while managing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will be called upon to provide privacy and data security subject matter expertise to our legal counsels as they negotiate complex commercial deals that contribute to our products’ success. This individual will also be assisting the Regional Data Privacy Counsel  in charting data privacy strategies and working closely with other privacy members in the team.

The day-to-day activities:

• Able to independently lead negotiations in transactions;

• Review and draft intra-company agreements, data processing agreements, contract terms and consumer notices, and negotiate data-related contract provisions with vendors and other business partners. 

• Provide product, advertising, engineering and other business teams with practical legal advice on privacy and data protection rules in Asia.
