Here's the exciting bit…a day includes
As a Automation Test Engineer you will create and maintain automation scripts in accordance with scenarios defined by the business and allocated by the Senior Test Team Lead & Business Analyst.
Automated Tests will be particularly focused on the Superdrug Website as we roll out significant updates, and will also include but not limited to, ASW UK websites (Superdrug & Savers) and Mobile Apps.
You will be expected to be thorough and structured in your approach and report on progress.
Key Responsibilities
Creating and designing automated testing scripts using behaviour driven development (BDD) methodology
Maintaining the current Automation suite
Analyse Automation test results and raise defects where applicable
Working alongside Development teams and other stakeholders to resolve issues
Report on Automation results and progress on activity
Accurate recording of test results
Assist in Maintaining logs of results in relevant systems
Re-Create and verify defects as necessary
Assist with reviewing scripts for relevance and accuracy
Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues on and offshore
Provide support for production monitoring and assist with production issues as required
Technical requirements
Experience of testing transactional Websites and Mobile Apps
Demonstrable experience as an automation tester
Full understanding of the testing lifecycle & methodologies
Knowledge of Scrum / Agile working practices
Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript
Knowledge of Playwright, Gherkin using Visual Studio Code, CI Tools e.g. Dev Ops
Agile workload management and bug tracking (e.g. Jira)
Strong oral and written communication skills – ability to communicate with technical and non-technical team members
IT related education and/or certifications preferred
Desirable but not essential - ISTQB Certification/Qualification

Hours: 37.5 | 9.00am - 5.30pm - Hybrid working available depending on role responsibilities with 2 days working from home and 3 days in our stylish, modern and collaborative office close to East Croydon Station.
