To support this work, the new full-time, permanent role of Systems and e-Resources Librarian will work closely with Archive and Library, Curatorial, Collections Services and ICT colleagues at each site to improve access to our e-Resources and manage library systems. The postholder can be contractually based at any of our museums in London, Manchester, Bradford or York, or at our Science & Innovation Park in Wroughton.
About the role
In this role, you will manage the e-Resources service, offering training and support to users and working closely with ICT and suppliers. The role will manage the Koha library management system, collaborate with the University of York for the National Railway Museum's library catalogue on their Alma library services platform and work closely with other sites for their systems and library cataloguing requirements.

About you
As the Systems and e-Resources Librarian, you will hold a qualification recognised by the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals, or equivalent experience. You will be comfortable understanding and managing data from systems and will be able to identify opportunities to optimise the use of the existing software across the Group. As an effective communicator, you will be able to build relationships with stakeholders across the organisation at different levels, and tailor your communication to explain complex systems information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
