Responsibilities

• To assist day-to-day accounting functions including managing and monitoring data entry and process journal to ensure all business transactions (AR, AP & GL) are recorded on timely basis.

A. Accounts & Finance

• Perform full sets of accounts such as AR, AP, Bank Reconciliation, Accruals, Prepayments, Deposits, Journal Entries, Disbursement and others

• Prepare and monitor cash flow forecast, budgeting and forecasting

• Manage and oversee overall accounting functions of Finance and Accounts department to ensure smooth operation of the department

• Preparation of full set of Management Reports and Financial Statements for selected companies in the Group such as Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Comprehensive Income, Statement of Changes in Equity, Cash Flow Statement and disclosure notes in accordance to IFRS Standards.

• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, handle intercompany transactions based on the company reporting timelines

• Performance of basic financial analysis (e.g. Actual versus Prior Year / Budgets) on main P&L line items for discussion with management on a monthly basis

• Preparation of accurate and timely tax and audit submissions as well as being the main point of contact for all tax (GST, Corporate Tax, Property Tax, etc.) and statutory audit matters

• Mentor, guide and train junior staff members on accounting procedures and software usage

• Ensure that on-hand outstanding invoices match with AP ageing report as per the system

• Monitor the issuance of cheques and the safeguard of any unused cheques.
• Post payment voucher and reconcile Ageing report and clear / follow up balance.
• Perform Creditor aging reconciliation with statement of account from supplier
• Prepare cheque run for approval.

Responsibilities:

• Handling accounts receivable (AR) function, ensuring receipts from customers are recorded timely and accurately in the AR system, and processing of refunds with proper supporting documents and approval in accordance to the company’s policies.
