POSITION INFO:
A wellâestablished, enterpriseâlevel organisation operating in a Microsoftâcentric digital environment is seeking a Developer & Data Engineer - Power Platform & Microsoft Fabric. This role is primarily focused on designing, building, and operating scalable data engineering solutions on Microsoft Fabric, with application and process automation forming a secondary but important component.
About the opportunity:
- Core focus on enterprise data engineering using Microsoft Fabric
Ownership of endâtoâend data pipelines and curated data products
- Strong focus on data governance, security, and compliance
- Exposure to Power Platform for automation and app enablement
- Clear growth path toward senior technical or solution architecture roles
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement endâtoâend data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric
- Ingest, transform, and curate data from SAP, enterprise systems, M365, and external sources
- Build and maintain Fabric Lakehouse and Warehouse models
- Develop curated datasets and semantic models aligned to business domains
- Implement data quality, validation, reconciliation, and monitoring controls
- Ensure alignment with data governance, security, privacy, and performance standards
- Enable Power BI through wellâstructured, performant data models
- Develop Power Apps (Canvas & ModelâDriven) to support dataâdriven processes
- Build Power Automate flows for orchestration, approvals, and integrations
- Configure and extend SharePoint Online where required for solution enablement
- Apply ALM best practices across Dev, Test, and Production environments
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Education:
- Relevant Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or Data / Analytics
Experience:
- Minimum 4+ years’ experience in data engineering, BI engineering, or enterprise analytics environments
- Handsâon experience with modern data platforms (Fabric, Synapse, Azure, or similar)
- Experience working in enterprise, regulated, or manufacturing environments
- Exposure to SAP or ERP data sources (strong advantage)
Skills:
- Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse / Warehouse, data pipelines, data modelling)
- Strong SQL skills
- Basic Spark / Python concepts or strong willingness to develop further
- Power BI integration and semantic modelling awareness
- Power Apps and Power Automate (supporting role)
- Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and roleâbased access control
