Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and services using Python
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party financial service integrations
- Develop scalable and secure systems that support financial transactions and operational workflows
- Work with databases and large datasets to support reporting, reconciliation, and business operations
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define technical solutions and deliver features
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and deployment processes
- Contribute to system architecture and continuous improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- 3–6+ years of experience in Python development
- Strong experience building backend systems and APIs
- Experience working with frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI
- Solid understanding of SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is advantageous
- Understanding of software engineering best practices, testing, and CI/CD workflows
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
- Experience within financial services, fintech, payments, or banking environments
- Exposure to transaction processing or financial reconciliation systems
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or microservices architectures
- Experience with data engineering or analytics pipelines
- Understanding of security and compliance considerations within financial systems
