POSITION INFO:
I specialise in partnering with companies that don’t hire “average” Java developers.
My clients operate systems where:
- Java performance matters
- Poor design decisions have real consequences
- Developers are expected to think critically—not just implement tickets
Rather than pushing generic roles, I build longâterm talent pipelines with experienced Java engineers and only engage when the opportunity is technically and professionally worthwhile.
Roles I recruit for often involve:
- Designing and building highâperformance Java backend systems
- Improving existing platforms rather than rewriting for novelty
- Making architectural and technical decisions that go into production
- Mentoring other engineers through code and example
- Working closely with product and technical leadership
- Owning systems beyond “it compiles”
Requirements
- Relevant IT / Computer Science qualification
- Java development experience (typically 5+ years
- Advanced Java (Java 11–17+ commonly)
- Solid understanding of JVM behaviour, memory management and concurrency
- Spring / Spring Boot experience with good engineering judgment
- REST APIs, backend integrations and SQL
- Strong debugging and problemâsolving ability
