APPRENTICE MILLWRIGHT - 3-YEAR TRAINING PROGRAMME
Our client is offering a Millwright Apprenticeship opportunity to kickstart your career in manufacturing!
- Location: Germiston, Gauteng
- Monthly Stipend: R4,500 - R5,500
Essential Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12) with Mathematics and Physical Science
- OR Technical N2/N3 qualification with relevant trade subjects
Experience & Knowledge Required:
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities
- Reading technical drawings and schematics
- Strong safety awareness
Technical Skills:
- Basic computer literacy - Microsoft Office
- Basic understanding of maintenance and workshop systems (advantageous)
- Exposure to PLC/HMI systems (advantageous)
- Combine technical knowledge with practical problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist qualified Millwrights with electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks
- Participate in practical workplace training and theoretical learning
- Assist with fault-finding, troubleshooting, and repairs on machinery
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections under supervision
- Learn to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Ensure work complies with company safety standards
- Maintain good housekeeping and safe working practices
- Assist with installations, modifications, and maintenance of equipment
- Complete training logs and maintenance documentation
- Work effectively within team environment
- Attend training sessions, assessments, and development activities
