About the role
Availability WindowOur Shift Leader rate of pay starts from £14.28 an hour; this increases to £15.41 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location and skills.
It’s our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you.
The table shows the periods of time in the week we’d like you to be available to work – the availability windows. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you’ll have 3 weeks’ notice of exactly when your shifts will be. We are happy to support flexibility for our colleagues, therefore if the times you’re available to work match closely but not exactly to the times we are advertising, we’d still love to hear from you. Our Food Buying team sources great quality products to give our customers the best range, at the best prices. So on this programme, you’ll help manage relationships with suppliers and set up exciting new product ranges.
You will be responsible for
You’ll start by spending 12 weeks working in stores, getting to know how they operate. Then you’ll complete rotations on both our fresh and packaged food buying teams, giving you a breadth of experience and the chance to build all sorts of skills such a negotiation and supplier management.
