In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the technical and operational management of the vessels, to ensure maximum availably and minimis down time. You will support with monitoring all docking and maintenance periods, monitor fleet performance as well as supporting with implementing any changes to class and flag requirements.
*Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate with the Superintendent team to oversee the technical management and maintenance of our tankship fleet.
- Provide expert technical guidance and support to onboard engineers, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.
- Assist in planning and executing dry-docking and repair projects, liaising with shipyards, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct regular vessel inspections, monitor performance data, and address any technical issues proactively.
- Assist in managing budgets and cost control related to vessel maintenance and repair activities.
-Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation and records for assigned vessels.
-Maintain adequate staffing for vessels.
-Support the development and implementation of maintenance strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
-Actively participate in incident investigations and root cause analyses, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Rate with the crewing department to facilitate crew changes.
*Qualifications and Skills:**
- Diploma/Degree in any marine & offshore related course
- Minimum sailing experience as 2nd Engineer on tankers, or substantial experienceas a 3rd Engineer.
- In-depth knowledge of tanker vessel operations, maintenance, and engineering practices.
- Strong understanding of international maritime regulations and industry standards.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organized with excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong team-player qualities.
