Job Scope

- To Develop /formulate new formulations for hair care, skin care and colour cosmetics products.
- To carry out product stability testing to ensure product’s quality.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate effectively and keep dateline with key internal and external stakeholders to find new business/market opportunity, support on technical matters regarding develop products and visit customers when necessary. (related South Asia Development activities)
• Conduct survey such as material/ chemical/ equipment for design purpose, research, develop, analyze, test for any existing/ new design/ technology as necessary; conduct design/ process trial, testing, experiments and improvements to ensure successful transfer of all assigned projects from R&D to manufacturing.

Position: Production Development Executive (R&D)

Responsibilities:

• Planning and carrying out R&D activities and projects that comply with food regulations as well as the company vision and mission.
• Create and design new recipes to improve food product from the organization in consideration of ideas and market demand for new products and refine taste profiles through experimentation.
• Improve and revise existing product formulations and processes if necessary to optimize productivity and cost.
• Conduct sensory and shelf-life evaluation for new and existing product samples.
• Participate in pilot tests and production runs until the commercialization of the new or modified product.
• Collaborate with the procurement department to source alternative ingredients.
• Liaise with supplier for new product samples and documents required, such as quotation, product specification, CoA, Halal Cert and etc.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing departments to keep track of consumer needs and competitors’ performance as well as support sales and marketing team by preparing samples for customer trials.
• Provide technical and labelling information with regulatory compliance to related departments.
• Keep a record of all R&D related documents.
• Assist in kitchen / R&D lab equipment handling, maintenance and calibration.
• Get involved in kitchen / R&D lab activities related to 5'S, safety, inventory control and others.

Requirements:

• Possess Degree or Diploma in Culinary / Food Technology / Food Science and other relevant field.
• Possess strong understanding of cultural and culinary trends with full knowledge of culinary art and able to cook like a chef.
• At least 1-2 years of working experience in seasoning, sauce and paste R&D, processing & manufacturing related field with strong knowledge and ability in kitchen / R&D lab management, recipe formulation, food presentation, food safety, food handling and food hygiene.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs all in process quality inspections and monitoring
• Ensure bodies are clean when entering & releasing units in very station
• Ensure the assembly works are done properly before releasing to the next station
• Ensure assembler use torque for items mentioned in SOP'S
