Qualification & Work Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in science.
2. At least 2 years of experience in laboratory with supervisory experience a plus.
3. Hands on in operating laboratory testing equipment eg. Tensile machine, Oxygen Permeability Analyzer & Water Permeability Analyzer, microscope.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Lab Technician is responsible for receiving, testing, analyzing, recording, reporting results of their tests and feedback for improvement action. Their main duties and responsibilities include:

1. Receiving, and safely storing samples to be tested at the incoming tray.
2. Attending to urgent test request as when needed and update the test result within the given timeline for action.
3. Ability to identify error in testing and determine the need to repeat tests for the analysis.
4. Recording tests and analyses and then reporting the results via watapps or imessage to team and top management.
5. Discussing and answering any questions regarding the results.
6. Monitor the test result periodically, analyse and feedback for improvement action.
7. Up-keeping the samples well according to its testing status so that its testing progress can be easily monitored and followed up.
8. Organizing and storing samples in accordance with all safety and other requirements to ensure the safety of personnel and integrity of the sample
9. Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, including calibration of equipment according to the the calibration master list.
