Java Backend Developer – Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Java Backend Developer with strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, and RESTful API development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable, high-performance backend systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
- Build and support Microservices-based architectures
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services
- Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and security
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Oracle
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and troubleshooting production issues
- Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD pipeline implementation and cloud deployments
- Work closely with business analysts, QA teams, and frontend developers
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience in Java backend development
- Strong expertise in Java 8/11/17 and Spring Boot
- Experience with Microservices architecture
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and web services
- Experience with Hibernate/JPA
- Knowledge of Kafka, RabbitMQ, or messaging systems
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform)
- Familiarity with Git, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD tools
- Strong SQL and database design skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with event-driven architecture
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Knowledge of security standards such as OAuth2, JWT, and Spring Security
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
