Responsibilities Of The Controller
- Direct and oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Establish benchmarks to evaluate financial and operational performance
- Monitor and analyze monthly results against budget and strategic goals
- Lead daily operations of the finance and accounting department
- Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and capital investments
- Partner with leadership to develop 5-year and 10-year business plans
- Develop and implement departmental goals, policies, and procedures
- Oversee financial audits and recommend process improvements
- Manage financial reporting, cash flow analysis, and forecasting
- Supervise accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and fixed assets
- Direct month-end close processes and coordinate external audits
Qualifications For The Controller
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA preferred
- 5–7 years of experience managing direct reports
- 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
