• Admission of canines & felines into the PAWS Chicago Adoption Program based on the goals, resources, and policies of the organization.
• Conduct S.A.F.E.R. Testing for Dogs/ Degree of Socialization for Cats.
• Understanding the resources of the organization at given time, so intake is in alignment with organizational resources (capacity, medical, behavior, age) and needs.
• Intake at Chicago Animal Care & Control 5 to 7 days per week based on available capacity at the Intake and Admissions Center.
• Intake from the Owner Relinquishment Partnering Program based on the available capacity at the Intake and Admissions Center
• Pro-Actively Manage and Maintain our Transfer Partner Relationships, Ensure Transparency.
• Documenting the background history or stories of the animals for marketing purposes.
• Support the Marketing Efforts for Adoption Events.
• Integrating volunteers into the S.A.F.E.R. testing process for ACC & Owner Relinquishment transfers.
• Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of the animal file as a result of the intake process.
• Taking and uploading photos of animals at the time of admission.
• Pairing of Dogs.
• Maintaining the Sanitation and Cleanliness of the Transport Vehicles.
• The ability to make rational decisions and be professional in an emotional environment/ situation.
• Maintain Inventory of Equipment needed for Intake.
• Back up for the Shelter Program
