Position: Python Automation Engineer
Location: Palo Alto, CA (5 days in office)
Duration: 12+ months contract
Job Description:
We are looking for a Python Automation Engineer with experience in software validation and testing within the automotive domain. The role will focus on automation development, test execution, debugging, and validation of embedded software/firmware features.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and automate test cases using Python-based automation frameworks
- Execute and validate software/firmware test cases on HIL platforms
- Debug issues, report defects, and support root cause analysis with cross-functional teams
- Analyze logs and validate software release quality
- Support hardware setup, flashing, and validation activities
Required Skills:
- 4+ years of experience in Software QA / Validation / Automation
- Strong Python automation experience
- Experience working with embedded software or firmware validation
- Automotive domain experience is required
- Understanding of CAN / UDS protocols
Nice to Have:
- Experience with CANalyzer or CANoe tools
- Knowledge of HIL testing environments
- Experience with RTOS, Bluetooth, WiFi, or Cellular technologies
- Familiarity with debugging tools, JTAG, serial interfaces, and log analysis
