Position Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Workday Integration Developer to lead the design, development, and long-term support of the global HCM ecosystem. This role is central to ensuring seamless, secure, and scalable data exchange between Workday and a variety of internal and external platforms.
You will work independently and alongside cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions.
Core Responsibilities
- End-to-End Development: Design, build, test, and deploy integrations using the full suite of Workday technologies, including Workday Studio, Orchestrate, Core Connectors, EIB, and RaaS.
- System Optimization: Perform complex root cause analysis to resolve failed integrations. You will proactively monitor the environment to identify performance bottlenecks and implement enhancements as business requirements evolve.
- Data Transformation: Utilize XSLT, XML, and JSON to manage document transformations and ensure data integrity across SOAP and REST-based web services.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with HR, IT, and Data & AI teams to gather technical specifications. You will also manage relationships with third-party vendors and Application Managed Services (AMS).
- Compliance & Security: Maintain rigorous standards for data governance and encryption, ensuring all file transfers (SFTP) and integrations comply with global security policies.
- Release Management: Participate in Workday’s biannual update cycles by performing impact analysis, regression testing, and necessary code updates.
Technical Requirements
- Professional Experience: At least 5 years of direct, hands-on experience developing and maintaining Workday integrations.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Workday Studio, CCTPP, and Workday Web Services.
- Integration Ecosystems: Proven track record of developing integrations for Payroll, Financials, Recruiting, and Talent modules.
- Data Standards: Deep understanding of secure file transfer protocols, data encryption, and transformation methodologies.
- Analytical Skillset: Strong ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and prioritize tasks in an Agile or structured delivery environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday Integration, Studio, or Orchestrate certifications.
- Experience supporting PeopleSoft to Workday transitions, specifically regarding data mapping and ongoing legacy integration.
- Familiarity with middleware applications and broader integration frameworks.
