Description
- Seeking a Software Test Engineer experienced in verifying VoIP software applications, specifically those integrated with LMR systems.
- Collaborate within an Agile environment to enhance software quality across the entire development lifecycle.
- Engage in design and functional requirement reviews, including the development and presentation of comprehensive test plans.
- Create and maintain precise test cases for functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Partner with developers during design phases to ensure features meet necessary testability standards.
- Proactively advance automation efforts and adopt emerging testing technologies.
- Automated testing/ Testing automation gaps and Create test cases.
- Utilizing tools such as Python, PowerShell, Jenkins, Ansible, or Selenium.
- Performing log analysis and troubleshooting using Wireshark.
- Working with virtualization platforms like ESXi or RHEL-KVM.
- Testing within Windows Server environments.
- Shift: 8am to 5pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in office
Qualifications
- Bachelors in any of the following Electrical engineering, Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications
- At least 5 years of experience in manual or automated software testing within Agile frameworks.
- Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in the following areas:
- Basic understanding of Software Development
- Strong foundational knowledge of networking protocols
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and Agile management tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
- Proven ability to develop test plans and cases using tools like TestRail or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with analog or digital Push-to-Talk (PTT) radio systems preferred
- Competency in security-focused practices, including Nessus Scanning, system hardening, and secure design reviews.
- Demonstrate strong independent work ethic, effective teamwork, and excellent communication skills.
- Possesses a robust command of Windows and Linux operating systems, virtualization technologies, fundamental networking, and test automation.
- Able to clearly explain their approach, thought process, and the steps they followed when identifying testing automation gaps and creating test cases.

Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
