Job Roles And Responsibilities

Perform structural design and analysis for various materials including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
Prepare calculation packages, technical specifications, and design documentation
Develop construction drawings, details, and engineering deliverables
Review structural submittals, respond to RFIs, and review shop drawings
Conduct site visits for construction observation and field verification
Perform structural assessments, retrofit, rehabilitation, and repair design
Conduct QA/QC reviews for accuracy and compliance
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects and engineers
Assist in project scope definition, scheduling, and resource planning
Support budgeting and project tracking activities
Participate in client meetings and present technical solutions
Coordinate internal teams and delegate tasks
Mentor junior engineers and support team development
Contribute to proposals, estimates, and technical documentation
Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies

Qualifications And Certifications

Professional Engineer license required
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required
Master's degree preferred
3 to 6 or more years of experience in structural engineering design and analysis
Proficiency in structural analysis and design software
Experience with modeling software such as Revit preferred
Strong technical writing and documentation skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to travel to job sites as needed
