Python Developer (Mid to Senior)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Python Developer to join our team and work on building and maintaining integrations for health and benefit plans. This role involves working with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) standards and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless data exchange across healthcare systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and integration solutions.
• Implement and support EDI transactions for healthcare and benefits data.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and client teams to deliver high-quality integrations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data exchange and system interoperability.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, and contribute to innovation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience delivering production software in professional environments and at least 4 years of professional software development experience.
• 6–10 years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on Python.
• Hands-on experience with EDI standards and healthcare data formats (e.g., X12, HIPAA transactions).
• Familiarity with health/benefit plan integrations is a significant plus.
• Experience with AI/ML technologies is a bonus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA).
• Experience with APIs and data integration frameworks.
• Experience with AWS cloud platform.
