Database Developer (PL/SQL & ETL)
Introduction
We are seeking a highly skilled Database Developer with strong expertise in PL/SQL and solid experience in ETL development. This role is focused on database engineering, not a pure ETL developer position. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize database solutions while contributing to ETL processes and data integration efforts.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust PL/SQL code for enterprise applications
- Analyze and optimize database performance, including query tuning and indexing strategies
- Develop and support ETL processes for data integration and transformation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders and developers
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, version control, and deployment processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner
- Contribute to continuous improvement of database architecture and processes
Requirements
<>Required Skills (Must Have)</>
- Strong hands-on experience in PL/SQL programming, including:
- Packages
- Procedures
- Functions
- Triggers
- Proven ability to optimize complex queries and design high-performance database solutions
- Experience with ETL development, preferably using Informatica (experience with SnapLogic is a plus)
- Strong experience with Oracle Database (primary) and SQL Server
- Experience working in enterprise environments with version control and deployment standards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset
<>Preferred Qualifications</>
- Exposure to SnapLogic or other modern ETL tools
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-based database deployments
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines related to database development
