Job Description
We are looking for an experienced
Data Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in
Databricks, Apache Spark, and Python to support enterprise-scale data engineering initiatives for Infosys/Citi.
The ideal candidate should have solid experience building scalable data pipelines, working with large datasets, and supporting cloud-based data platforms.
Required Skills
- 6 to 8 years of overall IT experience in Data Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks
- Expertise in PySpark
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and data transformation workflows
- Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Experience working with large-scale structured and unstructured data
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Banking/Financial domain preferred
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control tools like Git
- Familiarity with Delta Lake, data warehousing, and orchestration tools
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines
- Build and maintain Databricks-based data solutions
- Develop Spark/PySpark jobs for large-scale data processing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, architects, and data scientists
- Ensure data quality, performance optimization, and production support
