The Role
• Participate in the development of military planning tools and conduct research, studies, and analysis to support DoD decision makers.
• Design, develop, and test physics-based models for Air & Missile Defense (AMD) planning tools.
• Work with object-oriented design, algorithm design, implementation, code refactoring, testing, and documentation.
• Develop and deliver technical presentations to sponsors and the engineering community.
• Communicate proposed concepts, solutions, and analysis results effectively.
• Produce documentation for concept definitions, requirements, analysis results, and recommendations.
What You'll Need
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience with Python, C++, or similar programming languages.
• Experience implementing software from requirements and rapidly prototyping solutions.
• Experience leading projects and possessing excellent critical thinking and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with team members, sponsors, and users.
• Willingness to interact with warfighters and obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance.
