Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Controller role based in Kansas City, MO. The Controller will oversee all financial operations, including managing budgets, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities also include supervising accounting staff, analyzing financial data to guide decision-making, and developing strategies for financial growth and efficiency. The Controller will play a critical role in supporting the organization's financial health and aligning financial operations with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance
• Experience with ERP systems, financial software, and strong technical acumen
• Leadership and team management capabilities to oversee and mentor accounting staff
• Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to interpret complex financial data
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is preferred
• Prior experience in a leadership role within finance or accounting is highly desirable
• Experience in the transportation or automotive industry is a plus
