Summary: Backend Software Engineer who will design, build, and optimize scalable applications and APIs that support enterprise products and services. This person will work across the full development lifecycle-from ideation and design to deployment and optimization-while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, cloud-based solutions.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable backend applications and APIs
Build and support event-driven systems using messaging platforms like Kafka or RabbitMQ
Collaborate with teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
Participate in architecture discussions and solution design
Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices
Contribute to Agile processes including user stories and sprint activities
Document technical solutions and system designs
Mentor team members and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture
Qualifications
Strong backend development experience using Java, Spring Boot, and Groovy
Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs
Hands-on experience with event-driven systems (Kafka or RabbitMQ)
Solid SQL skills across relational databases (DB2, SQL Server, etc.)
Experience with Docker; Kubernetes is a plus
Exposure to AWS (CloudFront) and/or Azure
Familiarity with Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence)
Strong understanding of software design principles (SOLID)
Nice to have: Cloud architecture experience, Kubernetes, Azure
