Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will have experience in project coordination/project management within physical security systems, technical deployments, low-voltage infrastructure, or IT/security technology environments, with strong executive reporting, stakeholder management, and budget tracking capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and track multiple security projects and agency security initiatives across MTA operating locations.
- Assist senior management in strategic planning, prioritization, and execution of security technology programs.
- Monitor project timelines, milestones, risks, deliverables, and resource allocation.
- Support scope development, project documentation, status reporting, and issue resolution.
- Track project budgets, expenditures, invoices, and prepare financial utilization reports.
- Develop executive-level presentations, dashboards, reports, and briefing materials for leadership.
- Coordinate with internal departments including IT, Procurement, Legal, Engineering, Operations, and external vendors.
- Assist with performance reviews and continuous improvement of agency security programs.
- Support management of video management systems, video footage tracking, operational insight reporting, and incident documentation.
- Participate in review and update of security systems, policies, procedures, and operational protocols.
- Conduct market research on emerging security technologies including AI surveillance, analytics platforms, deployable cameras, drones, and low-voltage security systems.
- Assist with vendor evaluations, RFP support, technical comparisons, and qualified vendor recommendations.
- Track tactical programs including deployable camera initiatives, drone programs, and surveillance modernization projects.
- Prepare regular project performance metrics and leadership updates.
Required Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of professional experience in Project Coordination, Project Management, Program Analysis, or Technical Deployment roles.
- Experience supporting physical security projects, CCTV/video surveillance, access control, low-voltage systems, technical infrastructure, or IT/security system implementations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related technical discipline.
- General understanding of project management principles and lifecycle.
- Experience with budget tracking, expenditure reporting, and financial monitoring.
- Experience preparing executive presentations and project dashboards.
- Familiarity with video management systems, CCTV/security cameras, or surveillance technologies.
- Basic understanding of IT networking concepts including protocols, VPN, encryption, and system communications.
- General understanding of low-voltage/electrical principles in security systems.
- Understanding of engineering design lifecycle and/or SDLC.
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Valid US Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lean Six Sigma Certification
- PMP / CAPM certification
- Experience with AI surveillance, video analytics, drone security technology
- Experience with public sector/transportation/security infrastructure environments
- Vendor management or procurement coordination experience
