We are a profitable, 100% employee-owned company that’s growing rapidly. We work out of a fantastic co-working space located in midtown Manhattan, and support remote, hybrid, and in-office work environments with most employees choosing to go into the office a couple days each week. For this role, we have a very strong preference for people local to NYC, who can commute to the office a few times per month.

Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Full Stack Engineer. Based in New York, NY, the Full Stack Engineer will design, develop, and maintain front-end and back-end systems, ensuring scalable and efficient software solutions. Day-to-day tasks may include coding, troubleshooting, integrating APIs, collaborating with team members, and optimizing application performance to meet company and client needs.
Responsibilities
- Day to day feature software development across the full application stack
- Continued development of our API layer including documentation of it
- Front-end development of web pages related to enrollment and customer experience
- Working with third-party platforms like Stripe / AWS / DocuSign and others
- Requirements gathering and application design across the full software development lifecycle
- Performance enhancements across our full application stack
Qualifications
- Mission driven, with a desire to help accelerate the transition to a clean energy economy
- Demonstrate-able expertise with Java and Spring Framework is very important
- Only candidates with computer science or engineering degrees
- Demonstrate-able web development expertise
- Strong computer science fundamentals. Understanding of data structures and software patterns
- Experience developing Java based web applications
- Demonstrated ability to code in JQuery, Javascript, CSS, HTML
- Experience and strong understanding of Ajax, Json and Rest
- Familiarity with Linux
- Experience working with the Spring Framework
- Complete comfort and ability with either Eclipse or IntelliJ (preferably IntelliJ)
- Experience working with version control and source code management tools like Github
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in both Back-End Web Development and Front-End Development.
- Strong skills in Full-Stack Development and Software Development practices.
- Experience working with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to create responsive and visually appealing user interfaces.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Experience building scalable web applications and collaborating in an Agile development environment is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
- Annual Salary, non-exempt: USD $90,000 - $115,000 - paid biweekly
