Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer with strong expertise in securing cloud environments, specifically within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, to support critical banking applications and infrastructure. This role will focus on safeguarding sensitive financial data, ensuring regulatory compliance, and strengthening the organization’s overall security posture in a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud architectures in Microsoft Azure aligned with banking security standards
Lead cloud security initiatives including threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability management
Implement and manage security controls using tools such as Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Microsoft Sentinel
Secure identity and access management (IAM) leveraging Azure Active Directory, including MFA, conditional access, and privileged identity management
Collaborate with DevOps teams to embed security controls into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps practices)
Monitor cloud environments for threats, respond to incidents, and conduct root cause analysis
Ensure compliance with financial regulatory frameworks such as FFIEC, SOX, PCI DSS, and NIST
Conduct regular security audits, penetration testing, and control validation exercises
Implement encryption, key management, and data protection strategies for sensitive banking data
Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
8–12+ years of experience in information security, with at least 4–6 years in cloud security
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure security services and architecture
Proven experience working in the banking or financial services industry
Deep understanding of network security, data protection, and secure system design
Experience with SIEM, threat detection, and incident response tools
Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
Experience with container and Kubernetes security
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as:
Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
CISSP
CCSP
Experience with Zero Trust Architecture and secure access service edge (SASE) models
Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and on-premises integrations
Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GLBA, GDPR)
