Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $170,000 to $200,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee all core accounting functions including general ledger month end close payroll accounts payable accounts receivable tax compliance and cash management.
- Lead budgeting forecasting and cost accounting activities covering raw materials work in progress finished goods and overhead.
- Manage and coordinate external audit activities by serving as the primary point of contact for auditors and ensuring audit readiness.
- Drive accounting operations improvements by strengthening internal controls refining processes and supporting system efficiency.
- Lead and develop the accounting team by providing structure coaching and collaboration while partnering closely with executive leadership.
Requirements
- Bring prior experience holding the controller title with responsibility for end to end accounting oversight.
- 5+ years of accounting leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of accounting principles financial reporting cost accounting and compliance requirements.
- Use enterprise accounting systems confidently with hands on experience in NetSuite strongly desired.
- Communicate effectively with executive leadership and work cross functionally across finance operations and sales teams.
Qualifications
- Manage a multi member accounting team including managers and staff while guiding change and maintaining continuity during transitions.
- Partner directly with the chief financial officer and senior executives to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Bring experience with public accounting backgrounds audit leadership or complex reporting environments considered beneficial.
- Demonstrate a confident professional presence with strong leadership judgment and people management skills.
- Show interest in leveraging emerging tools and technologies to enhance reporting board communication or operational insight.
