Program Manager – Data Strategy (Contract)
4 days/week on-site; 6?month contract with strong extension potential
Our client is seeking an experienced Program Manager with a strong Data Strategy background to lead a major enterprise-wide data transformation initiative. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on program execution, guiding cross-functional workstreams to elevate data quality, governance, accessibility, and organizational adoption.
The ideal candidate is skilled at driving large-scale programs, aligning stakeholders, and translating data strategy into actionable delivery plans. This position follows a hybrid schedule (4 days in office / 1 remote), with flexibility for the right candidate.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the vision, roadmap, and execution of a multi-phase enterprise Data Strategy program.
- Manage complex workstreams across governance, data quality, metadata, MDM, and analytics enablement.
- Coordinate executive communications, steering committees, and stakeholder alignment.
- Implement operating models, standards, and processes that strengthen data governance maturity.
- Drive change management, training, and adoption of new data tools, platforms, and practices.
- Oversee program plans, timelines, budgets, risks, and decision frameworks.
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years in program/project management, data strategy, or enterprise data initiatives.
- Proven success leading complex, multi-stakeholder programs.
- Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, metadata management, and modern data platforms.
- Excellent communicator with experience presenting to senior leadership.
- Skilled in planning, prioritization, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership.
- Bonus: Experience with DAMA/DMBOK, GDPR/CCPA, Agile/Hybrid delivery, PMP/Prosci/CDMP.
