About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled hybrid Data Analyst / Analytics Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between data engineering and analytics, transforming raw data into scalable, reliable datasets, and delivering insightful analytics solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, develop robust data models, and create intuitive dashboards and reports. Leveraging our modern BI visualization platform and cloud data infrastructure, particularly Snowflake, the role involves designing semantic layers, optimizing data pipelines, and enabling embedded analytics capabilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to enterprise-wide data initiatives, improve decision-making processes, and support data governance standards in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in analytics engineering, BI development, or data analysis
- Strong proficiency in SQL (required)
- Hands-on experience with modern BI tools such as ThoughtSpot, Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
- Proven experience designing semantic layers and business models
- Experience working with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
- Knowledge of data governance practices
- Experience with data platform integration and performance tuning
- Familiarity with transformation frameworks like dbt (preferred)
- Exposure to embedded analytics architecture and API-driven data access (preferred)
- Excellent stakeholder communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Proactive problem-solving mindset focused on scalability and usability
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data models, including dimensional and star/snowflake schemas
- Develop and optimize SQL / PL-SQL transformations to support analytics needs
- Implement and manage semantic layers to standardize business logic and metrics
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and adherence to governance standards across datasets
- Create and maintain dashboards, liveboards, and search-driven analytics, preferably in ThoughtSpot
- Translate business requirements into user-friendly, self-service analytics solutions
- Partner with stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and reporting standards
- Work within Snowflake to optimize data modeling, performance, and cost efficiency
- Collaborate with data engineering teams on data pipelines and ingestion frameworks
- Support embedded analytics use cases through APIs, SDKs, or iframe integrations
- Enable internal and external users with governed, scalable analytics access
- Drive adoption of BI tools through best practices, training, and documentation
- Define and enforce standards for data modeling, naming conventions, and metric definitions
- Contribute to data cataloging and maintain comprehensive documentation of data assets
