About The Role
The team is seeking a
Software Engineer with senior-level experience in
Java, Python, AWS Cloud, and
full-stack development. The role focuses on full-stack delivery, architectural input, and mentoring junior developers. Experience with front-end development is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, configure, and optimize solutions for applications, databases, test automation tools, and COTS products.
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to develop innovative, business-driven solutions.
- Review business and technical requirements, implementing scalable and secure technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, mentor peers, and contribute to architecture and technology roadmaps.
- Develop and maintain unit tests within CI/CD pipelines.
- Support QA, UAT, and production releases, performing troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Advocate for Agile best practices and continuous improvement.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to junior engineers.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience.
- Expertise in Java, Python, AWS, SQL, and Git (merging, conflicts, cherry-picking).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab or similar).
- Knowledge of AWS security best practices, Terraform, and CDK for infrastructure deployment.
- Strong understanding of API development and modern cloud architectures.
- Ability to work independently and lead by example with strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with JavaScript, Apache Spark, AWS Glue, and PySpark.
- Familiarity with Apache Airflow and orchestration tools.
- Experience implementing application observability and monitoring across tools and environments.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new languages, frameworks, and technologies.
