Our client, a leading organization in the insurance industry, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Database Admin & Conversion Developer to join their dynamic team. As a vital member of the Data Management Department supporting the IT and Data Transformation teams, the ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to challenges, ensuring success within the organization.

What's the Job?
- Manage enterprise databases, ensuring security, performance, and integrity through effective implementation of security measures, monitoring, and tuning.
- Develop and support data migration solutions, including analysis, mapping, validation, and transformation of policy data from legacy systems to modern platforms.
- Build and maintain ETL processes to facilitate accurate and complete data movement, supporting multiple conversion cycles including testing and production cutovers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, support testing phases, and provide post-go-live support for data and system issues.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, conversion logic, and operational procedures, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator, typically 4+ years for senior roles, with expertise in T-SQL and RDBMS for SQL Server; Snowflake experience is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Azure Cloud/platform and experience with Azure Data Factory.
- At least 2 years of experience working with VSAM files and converting them into SQL databases.
- Experience in policy data conversions within the life insurance domain, combining database administration and migration development skills.
