Purpose Statement/Position Summary: To provide administrative support and coordination to the Amerman Family Foundation Dog Therapy Program. Performs administrative functions necessary for the day-to-day operation of the program and assures the attainment of program goals and objectives. Coordinates highly complex volunteer visits in a specialty withmultidisciplinary patient care areas.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:
Required:
- Three (3) years of secretarial or administrative experience or an associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
- Experience working with animals (e.g., handling, care, observation, or similar relevant experience).
Preferred:
- Experience with dog therapy, including volunteer work or training.
- Education or credentialing in animal‑assisted intervention or a related field.
Education/Licensure/Certification:
Required:
Education, experience, or demonstrated interest in animal‑assisted intervention or related fields.
Preferred:
College degree or certification in animal-assisted intervention or similar discipline.
