The primary responsibility of this position is to lead the planning, execution, and tracking of Nikon Metrology Laser Radar development programs. This includes producing and maintaining project schedules, dashboards, and task trackers. Additional responsibilities include supporting the transition from development to production of the Laser Radar instruments and accessories, ensuring the ongoing quality of the Laser Radar production, and assuring that controlled documentation accurately reflect the designs of the components and assemblies. This work includes creating, reviewing, and maintaining drawings, forms, bills of material, and work instructions for clarity, consistency, and accuracy.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Will include, but not limited to the following:
- Produce and maintain project schedules, dashboards, and task trackers.
- Update mechanical and electrical drawings and model database.
- Support Engineering change process by implementing Engineering changes.
- Enter parts, bills of material (BOMs), and routings into the ERP system.
- Development of forms, work instructions, and training materials.
- Other administrative support of Engineering, as required.
- Liaison with Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, Quality Assurance, and vendors in support of the above duties.
- Support production planning
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills in English, especially written.
- 5-10 years demonstrable Engineering Experience
- 3-5 years of experience with SolidWorks.
- 3-5 years of experience with AutoCAD.
- 3-5 years of experience working with Navision, or other ERP system.
- Experience to lead project as project leader or to lead team as team leader
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Teams platform.
Certificates, License, Registrations:
- B.S. in Engineering (or relevant, related field), or relevant work experience.
FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:
- Must be able to meet deadlines.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Able to maintain a high level of productivity with minimal supervision.
- Able to interact effectively with others to get necessary information and support to complete projects in a timely manner.
- Good communications skills in English, both verbal and written
- Project management skill like MS project
- I.T. skills are a bonus.
- Familiarity with ISO 9000 is a bonus.
- Production planning skills are a bonus
Working Environment/Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Extended periods of sitting and working at a computer for planning, documentation, and communication tasks.
- Occasional standing, walking, or bending when working with production teams or inspecting hardware.
- When on the production floor or near active equipment, appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.
