Description
SAIC is looking for a
Software Engineer for a position
located in San Diego, CA. This position supports the Joint Cross Domain eXchange (JCDX) program.
*This will be an
ON-SITE role with expected
travel up to 10% throughout the year.*
Job Duties
- The candidate shall perform software engineering design and development activities to produce reliable, modular, and secure software components.
- The work will include development of software on a RHEL OS platform.
- This will include software development with custom C++ based applications, X windows-based applications, and web-based middleware.
- Development will consist of application writing and policy for security accreditations.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have an Active Secret Clearance to start.
- Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance after start.
- 3-5 years industry experience designing, building, and maintaining large scale systems in production.
- Experience with C++.
- Experience working with Nginx or Apache servers with a solid background in Linux.
- Strong CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
- Expertise in front-end technologies, including JavaScript, React, CSS3 and HTML5 and third-party libraries such as React Js, Angular, jQuery and LESS.
- Familiarity with DBMS technology, including PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB and MySQL.
- Basic design ability Including knowledge of UI/UX and basic prototype design.
- Excellent understanding of low-level operating systems concepts including multi-threading, memory management, networking and storage, performance, and scale.
- Ability to visualize a proposed system and be able to build it.
Target salary range $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
