About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer to join the Sensors Team. In this role, you will enhance requirement traceability for the current sensor architecture while defining top-down requirements for next-generation systems. You will partner with autonomy system architects and cross-functional teams to ensure safe and reliable autonomous vehicle performance across diverse real-world scenarios.

What you will be doing:

• Identify and analyze complex use cases and challenging driving scenarios.
• Develop and document system requirements for sensor suites including cameras, radar, and lidar.
• Conduct trade studies to evaluate sensor configurations and system architectures.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure alignment with system requirements.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation.
• Present technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

About You

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, Physics, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in systems engineering or related roles within autonomous vehicles, aerospace, or robotics.
• Experience analyzing and defining complex systems and scenarios.
• Strong understanding of sensor technologies such as cameras, radar, and lidar.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Experience with Python or similar languages (e.g., MATLAB) for analysis.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with perception and planning algorithms.
• Experience with 3D modeling tools (e.g., Blender).
• Experience with SQL.
• Experience using Git.
