The Role
• Lead a world-class embedded software engineering team responsible for the software powering a global fleet of mobile robots.
• Drive the development of real-time motion control, power management, connectivity, and safety systems for current and next-generation robots.
• Ensure systematic reliability and safety at scale for a fleet of over a million robots, with a rigorous bar for firmware changes.
• Manage the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and operational support.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
• Collaborate closely with hardware, manufacturing, and operations teams to deliver cutting-edge robotic solutions.
What You'll Need
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in engineering team management.
• 3+ years of experience providing technical leadership and project management for software development.
• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or in a related role.
• Deep knowledge of engineering practices for the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Proven experience leading the development of embedded, real-time, or safety-critical systems.
