For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager, Data Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space.
This role will drive complex, cross-functional technical programs that support large-scale data platform modernization and operational efficiency. You will partner closely with engineering, technical leaders, and business stakeholders to manage migrations, improve visibility, and help deliver measurable impact across the data infrastructure landscape.
The position also calls for strong communication skills, analytical rigor, and comfort working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift and ambiguity is common.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $123,684 – $254,644 annually
Responsibilities
- Lead modernization programs for data platforms, focusing on ingestion, table format migrations, and workflow consolidation
- Manage cross-team migration efforts, overseeing timelines, dependencies, and risks across service owners
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting for engineering and leadership visibility into program progress and savings
- Oversee reporting and tracking for large data infrastructure efficiency portfolios, liaising with team leads and stakeholders
- Communicate technical tradeoffs and program statuses to both technical and non-technical teams at various levels
- Leverage GenAI to enhance program management efficiency and automate workflows
- Prototype solutions to enhance decision-making or streamline processes using AI coding tools
Qualifications
- 5+ years of TPM experience in complex, cross-functional technical programs, particularly in large-scale data platforms or data infrastructure modernization
- Strong understanding of large-scale data principles, including batch/streaming pipelines, storage layers, and workflow orchestrators
- Excellent analytical skills with experience in building dashboards and using data insights for decision-making
- Proven collaboration abilities, engaging effectively with senior engineering and business stakeholders
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities in fast-paced environments
- Experience or willingness to learn about data platforms and streaming systems like Kafka and Flink is desirable
- Fluency in AI concepts, including safety-by-design principles and AI governance expectations
