For our client, we are seeking a Program Manager to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space.
This role will oversee federal IT program execution, with responsibility for coordinating multiple task orders and ensuring delivery aligns with contract requirements. The Program Manager will serve as a key point of contact for the government client while driving planning, resource management, risk mitigation, and executive-level communication. This position also involves shaping proposals, procedures, and status reporting that support successful program delivery across a multi-disciplinary IT environment.
The ideal candidate will bring strong program leadership experience in federal IT contract environments, along with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders. Success in this role will require balancing operational discipline with responsiveness to client needs, while maintaining visibility into schedule, budget, quality, and performance outcomes.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $149,568 – $186,960 annually
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and the government client, reporting program performance and delivery status
- Lead project initiation and planning for all active task orders
- Manage contractor resources and labor across all task orders, assigning work based on skill and availability
- Oversee daily execution and deliverable quality, ensuring compliance with contract requirements
- Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, maintaining a risk register
- Prepare and present program status briefings and develop task proposals and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of program management experience on federal IT contracts
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required
- Experience defining requirements and preparing task proposals, including budget and schedule development
- Experience developing policies, procedures, and work instructions
- Proficient with project management tools like Microsoft Project or Jira
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience briefing senior government executives
- Working knowledge of IT and cybersecurity capabilities
- PMP certification or 10+ years of demonstrated program management experience in lieu of certification
