For our client, we are seeking a Security Engineer, Application Security to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space.
This role will help embed security practices across the software development lifecycle and strengthen the organization’s application security posture. You will partner closely with engineering, architecture, and platform teams to make secure development practical, scalable, and developer-friendly. The position also supports secure adoption of AI-enabled tools, secure coding standards, and security controls that align with modern cloud-native environments.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $120,000 – $140,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Embed security in all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Champion security requirements for integrating AI tools
- Conduct security-by-design engagements for new features and platforms
- Perform secure code reviews with actionable feedback
- Establish secure API patterns with architecture and platform teams
- Maintain coding guidelines and security standards for engineering teams
- Support implementation of security controls for network security
Qualifications
- 3+ years in application security engineering
- Experience building internal security platforms that reduce developer friction
- Ability to use AI/ML-driven tools for enhanced security
- Hands-on experience with threat modeling
- Track record of integrating security into CI/CD workflows
- Familiarity with OWASP Top 10s for various domains
- Experience securing AWS deployments with container and Kubernetes security
