Fives Group is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on
Warehouse & Inventory Technician to support daily warehouse, inventory, shipping, and receiving operations. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, processing incoming materials, supporting internal build teams, and ensuring materials are properly stored, labeled, and issued.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, operating material-handling equipment, and taking ownership of warehouse-related issues from start to resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Process received goods through web-based inventory management systems and corporate ERP systems as required.
- Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming materials while maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Pull, stage, and issue materials to production and build teams with a high level of accuracy.
- Maintain organized warehouse stock locations, labeling, and inventory records to ensure materials can be quickly located and accounted for.
- Segregate components and materials by specific build series, project, or other designated requirements.
- Load and unload freight and parcel shipments using appropriate material-handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Maintain the outbound parcel shipping station and ensure adequate supplies are available for daily shipping needs.
- Inspect inbound and outbound freight and parcel shipments for accuracy, packaging, and labeling compliance.
- Properly handle and process Dangerous Goods shipments in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and company procedures.
- Monitor personnel package pickup areas and ensure packages are processed and collected in a timely manner.
- Maintain warehouse material-handling equipment and report or coordinate repairs as needed.
- Respond to warehouse-related questions, issues, and escalations and take ownership through resolution.
- Identify gaps in warehouse processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and operational readiness.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Perform other warehouse, inventory, shipping, and operational duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of relevant warehouse experience, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, material handling, goods receipt, documentation, and material issuance.
- Forklift operating experience required.
- Experience working with an ERP or Warehouse Management System (WMS), such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced, automotive, manufacturing, or startup environment preferred.
- Dangerous Goods / Hazmat shipping experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy in a high-velocity environment.
- Ability to identify operational gaps and implement practical process improvements.
- Knowledge of Lean or continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and perform physical material-handling activities.
