The Role
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications using Java SDK 21 and Spring Boot.
- Build and enhance applications, including developing and maintaining REST APIs and JSON-based integrations.
- Support smaller web applications using front-end technologies like Thymeleaf, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Work with AWS-based infrastructure and services (ECS, API Gateway, DynamoDB) and contribute to infrastructure-as-code efforts with Terraform.
- Contribute to source control and development workflows using GitLab, including building and troubleshooting GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with team members on application architecture, code reviews, and deployment practices, applying sound software engineering principles.
What You'll Need
- Strong professional experience developing applications with Java, specifically Java 21 or recent SDK versions.
- Solid experience with Spring Boot and Spring-based application development.
- Proven ability to design, build, and consume REST APIs with strong working knowledge of JSON and API integration patterns.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with Git-based source control (preferably GitLab) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Practical experience developing, deploying, or supporting applications in AWS.
- Ability to work independently, be hands-on, pragmatic, and collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
