Hourly Rate: $90–$175/hr
The annual compensation figure is a full-time equivalent calculated at 40 hours per week across 48 workable weeks. This is a contractor engagement, so actual earnings depend on hours worked and available project tasks.
About The Role
This role is for professionals with strong hands-on GitHub and Git experience who can complete, document, and evaluate realistic software development and version control workflows.
You will work with repositories, branches, commits, pull requests, issues, collaboration features, and GitHub Actions/CI/CD workflows. Your practical experience will help generate high-quality interaction data and structured evaluations for AI systems.
No Prior AI Experience Is Required.
What You’ll Do
- Complete assigned workflows and tasks within GitHub using practical software development and version control experience.
- Work with repositories, branches, commits, pull requests, issues, and collaboration features.
- Create, edit, review, and manage repositories according to provided instructions.
- Perform common Git workflows including branching, merging, committing, and pull requests.
- Work with GitHub Actions and CI/CD workflows where applicable.
- Record your screen while completing assigned workflows and clearly demonstrate the steps taken.
- Create realistic prompts and detailed evaluation rubrics based on completed workflows.
- Document workflow steps and explain the GitHub tools, features, and actions used.
- Review task outputs for accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
- Work independently while following defined quality and documentation standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience using GitHub in professional, project-based, or open-source environments.
- Solid understanding of Git and version control workflows.
- Practical experience with repositories, branching, merging, commits, and pull requests.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions and CI/CD workflows.
- Ability to clearly document and explain technical workflows.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Current access to GitHub and ability to use the platform independently.
- Comfortable recording and sharing your screen while completing technical workflows.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience with data annotation, data labeling, RLHF, AI response evaluation, model evaluation, or similar work.
- Experience creating technical prompts, evaluation criteria, or workflow documentation.
- Professional software development or open-source contribution experience.
- Experience with automated testing or CI/CD pipelines.
