About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Infrastructure Engineer to own and enhance our AWS platform, deployment systems, and tooling. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining and scaling our infrastructure, ensuring robust security, reliability, and performance. Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, this high-impact individual contributor will have end-to-end responsibility for how our software is built, deployed, secured, and operated. A unique aspect of this role is leveraging AI and LLM tooling to solve infrastructure challenges—using agents to automate debugging, incident response, and operational tasks. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment, demonstrating a strong hands-on approach to building scalable, secure, and automated infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to define and shape the foundational platform at an AI-first company, with significant influence on product development and operational excellence. Qualifications
- Deep, hands-on experience designing, building, and operating production AWS infrastructure
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, or similar
- Strong knowledge of modern deployment practices including containers, CI/CD pipelines, and zero-downtime releases
- Experience integrating AI tools, coding agents, and LLMs into infrastructure workflows
- Background supporting or driving compliance efforts such as SOC 2 and HIPAA
- Proficiency in scripting and automation to streamline operations and reduce toil
- Security-minded approach with experience in security best practices and incident response
- Ability to build and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, ownership-driven mindset
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
- Comfortable writing software and developing automation tools to improve platform reliability and efficiency
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end architecture, deployment, and management of our AWS infrastructure
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code to ensure scalable and repeatable deployments
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines enabling engineers to deploy multiple times daily with confidence
- Leverage AI and LLM tooling to automate infrastructure management, incident investigation, and runbook execution
- Design and maintain the infrastructure supporting our AI agents, including execution environments and observability pipelines
- Ensure platform reliability, security, and compliance, including SOC 2 and HIPAA standards
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to maintain high availability and rapid incident response
- Identify and eliminate operational toil through automation and AI-driven solutions
- Collaborate with engineering teams to build paved roads and tooling that accelerate development velocity
- Continuously improve security posture and compliance efforts as we expand our customer base
