The Role
• Develop and manage compute, database, storage, and platform services within a leading cloud environment.
• Contribute to the innovation of virtualization technology for a global-scale compute cloud.
• Design and build compute infrastructure to support high-memory and high-performance computing workloads.
• Interface directly with system BIOS and drive critical system interactions within the hypervisor.
• Work across domains including peripheral firmware and Linux kernel internals to deliver new features and instance types.
• Utilize C/C++ or Rust for development, with supporting scripts in Python and Lua.
What You'll Need
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Proficiency in at least one software programming language.
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
