The Role
• Design and implement distributed storage systems handling real-world workloads at significant scale.
• Tackle complex challenges in replication, consistency, and fault tolerance for large-scale data.
• Engage in systems-level programming for storage engines and critical data paths.
• Operate and maintain services at scale, including performance tuning and debugging.
• Build tooling and automation to enhance team efficiency in managing large infrastructure.
• Participate in on-call rotations, focusing on operational excellence and root cause analysis.
What You'll Need
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, including reliability and scaling.
• 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, or distributed software applications using languages like C++, Java, or Rust.
• Experience with Object-Oriented Design principles.
• Familiarity with distributed systems at scale and consensus protocols is a plus.
